AJS 7R 350cc “Boy Racer

The AJS 7R 350cc “Boy Racer” saw Jack Williams boost the power peak of this racer from 37bhp at 7500rpm at the end of 1954, to nearly 42bhp at 7800 rpm in its final year, while cutting the weight from 310lbs to 285lbs. Ironically, the sole TT winner was an experimental three-valver piloted by Junior Rod Coleman in the 1954 TT. Boasting a welded frame, telescopic forks, extensive use of magnesium and an aluminum tank, it was competitive for well over a decade. This is a 1/9 scale Protar with the piano wire treatment for the wheels and resplendent in its black and alloy finish.
